Cast an eye skyward in the dark hours over the next week and you might see a bright streak across the sky. We saw this Perseid meteor in the Cassiopeia area, flying from left to right it burned up in our outer atmosphere in a bright golden streak. Cassiopeia looks like a wonky W on its side. This shot was taken on Panasonic Lumix FZ48 at full wide angle 25 mm equivalent using the Starry Night scene mode at 60 secs ISO 100.
